Colombia's CINA Program: A Driving Force Behind the Country's Audiovisual Production Industry
Thanks to the implementation of CINA, a transferable tax credit, Colombia has seen remarkable growth in international audiovisual productions, which has generated almost one billion pesos in investments and created numerous job opportunities for local talent. Additionally, the program has bolstered the national industry and elevated the country's status as a leading audiovisual production hub in Latin America.

Panama
Government Program Boosts Filmmaking in Panama
One of the key reasons why filmmakers are flocking to Panama is the recently introduced government incentive that offers a 25% cashback to foreign film and television projects. Additionally, all film equipment can be temporarily imported tax-free without any deposit required, making it an even more attractive location for filmmakers.

Dominican Republic
Filming in the Dominican Republic: fast-developing industry with great incentives
The Dominican Republic provides excellent incentives, including a 25% transferable tax credit (TTC) and a value-added tax (VAT) exemption on services provided by exclusive film providers.
What makes these incentives so enticing is the wide range of eligible expenses. Both above-the-line and below-the-line expenses qualify, with the exception of distribution and marketing costs, finance costs and bank charges, and completion bond and foreign insurance policies.

Mexico
All film and video productions shot in Mexico and whose primary exploitation will be done outside of Mexico are considered an “export product” and receive a Value Added Tax (VAT) exemption of 16%.
After filing with the IRS (SAT) the production receives the 16% return in 60 days, and the requests for the return can be filed monthly during production
This is possible only if your local production service provider solicites prior authorization from the SAT.

Costa Rica
Invest in Costa Rica's Film and TV Sector for a 11.7% Cash Return
With a minimum investment of $500,000, Costa Rica offers an impressive cash return of 11.7% to international production companies. Once the application process is complete, the cash will be returned within 60 days with no budget line restriction or cap. The only requirement is to spend the money in Costa Rica. Film commissioner Jose Castro states that Costa Rica has experienced steady growth in the past five years, even without incentives. Now, with this program in place, they are confident that it will encourage even more productions and expand the film and TV sector. In addition, Costa Rica promotes sustainable production methods, and is a leading example of ecological shooting practices and sustainable power sources such as hydroelectric dams, solar, and wind power plants.
